I think, the Ethiopian government is allergic to independent thinkers

I am too depressed even to say a word!

One of my friends is in jail just because he thinks the government is wrong in many aspects. A month ago we were talking about how things are going from bad to worse in our country.

As the election year is approaching the government of Ethiopia has started to crackdown against any dissident voices. Including those voices of bloggers on facebook who criticize the maladministration in Ethiopia. The famous Zone9 young writers and others like the poet Dawit Tsegaye are now jailed by the government. I wish the regime is as efficient in serving the public as in imprisoning young writers who just want to share their ideas with their fellow citizens.

Some Wh questions to the Ethiopian Government

Why does each and every door of dialogue have to be closed? Why is the government in total opposition with people who want to think independently and critically?

In Ethiopia thinking has become a huge offense against the government which seems to have a disease called Thinking Allergy.

But here is what they have to know, although they want to stay in power forever, they can't, just because they are human beings.
